PT. Manohara Asri is an Indonesian snack factory based in Sidoarjo, East Java - Indonesia. The main products are flavored peanuts/broad beans, wafer stick/rolls, and pellet (raw material of chips).

 

We are leading Snack Confectionary producing the best coated peanuts, roasted broad beans, chocolate sticks, and pelletes (raw material of snacks/chips). And in the process to extend our international market.

The company uses high-quality raw material and modern technology in its manufacturing process. The production of flavored peanuts.

 

for example, uses freshly ground- picked raw peanuts that are further selected through a closely-supervised sorting and grading process.

The manufacturing process, from the sorting and grading of raw material to the seasoning which uses fine spices, roasting with special oven in specific time and temperature and packing is highly mechanical by modern Japanese technology, avoiding any direct physical contacts, and is closely monitored to ensure the quality and the hygiene of the end-products.

PT Manohara Asri was founded in 1995 by Mr. Singgih Gunawan, one of the owner of Kapal Api Group (Kapal Api Coffee, ABC Coffee, Good Day Instant Coffee, Café Excelso, Relaxa Candy, Espresso Candy, and many more). We started this company by producing snacks, with Kenji brand. This Kenji brand became very popular in a short time so we developed other products, such us Kenji Magic Stick (stick shaped snack) and Kenji Colak Colek (stick shaped snack which is consumed by dipping the stick into the sauce/cream).


From the remarkable quality of peanuts from Japan, which have been processed by the modern oven machines (producing the combination of crunchy oven coated peanut), Mr. Singgih Gunawan sent his Research and Development Team and Production Team to Japan in order to learn more about the production process and decided to buy all the machines needed for his company.
After going through the research process and adapting it to Indonesian taste, in 1997, we launched Mayasi “Peanuts in Japanese Style”. Through the finding of supplier, sorting the products carefully, complex production process and firm quality control, we hope that Mayasi could be known and remembered by people as delicious peanuts with the highest quality.


With Mayasi progress, we were interested in developing peanuts that were also popular in Japan at that time, half-coated peanut. In 2000, we launched Iyes “Oven Peanuts”. Therefore, in Mayasi products, the combination between peanuts and its coating was balanced while in Iyes products, we made the peanuts taste more dominant.


In 2001, our Research and Development Team successfully made broad beans products that was so crunchy (just for          information, the broad bean at the market tend to be a bit hard). We had confidence that old people would not find it difficult to consume our broad beans. We launched it with name Mayasi Koro Koro and this product became popular very quickly.
In 2004, we developed wafer “Stick Duo” with the combination of two unique flavors. We named it Yoiki. Yoiki with two flavors in its cream became a trendsetter for that year.


Through the distribution networks that we operate ourselves (Java-Bali) and our agents that spread all around Indonesia, we have distributed our products in almost all modern markets and traditional markets in Indonesia.
Since 2005, we started to focus on export markets. By attending exhibitions in other countries, we succeeded in distributing our products to markets in America, China, Dubai UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Jordan, Arab Saudi, Kuwait and even Palestine.
